Sign On To Sponsor 25th Racing Legends Reunion & Car
Show Feb. 21-27 At Fairgrounds Square Mall
READING, PA - The Reading Eagle and
WEEU 830 AM have signed on as presenting sponsors of
the 25th annual Racing Legends Reunion & Car Show.
The show is set for Feb. 21-27 at the
Fairgrounds Square Mall located on 5th Street
Highway in Reading, Pa., the former site of the
famed Reading Fairgrounds Speedway.
The event will be known as the 25th
annual Racing Legends Reunion & Car Show presented
by Reading Eagle and WEEU 830 AM.
"The Reading Eagle and WEEU have a
long history in the area's short-track racing
circles," said event organizer Brett Deyo. "We're
proud to have them on board during the show's 25th
anniversary celebration."
WEEU - 830 on the AM dial in Berks
County and beyond - will broadcast live for two
hours from the show on Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 24
from 3-5 p.m. The Reading Eagle will provide pre-
and post-event coverage in its sports pages.
"Having WEEU at the show will only
add to the exposure generated for race teams,
vendors and exhibitors," Deyo said.
During the week of Feb. 21-27, the
mall will be jammed with current-day race cars
representing many divisions and sanctioning groups,
vintage and restored race cars, speedway exhibits
and displays and vendors. Drivers of today and
yesterday will be on hand periodically throughout
the show for on-stage interviews and autograph
sessions.
Among the show highlights are the
600Scene.com Small Car Roundtable (Tuesday
evening, Feb. 23 at 7:30 p.m.), the annual Reading
Fairgrounds Speedway Reunion (Friday evening, Feb.
26 at 6:30 p.m.) and the first Penn National
Speedway Reunion (Saturday afternoon, Feb. 27 at 5
p.m.).
Show awards - including the first Don
Marks Memorial Contribution to Motorsports Award -
will be distributed during the popular BASH Racing
Party to be held Friday night, Feb. 26 at the Temple
Fire Company, just blocks from the mall, beginning
at 9 p.m.
The BASH Party will feature music for
dancing, a cash bar, racing movies (including 2009
footage from the Pennsylvania Dual-Track circuit)
and plenty of bench racing.
Bert Jones, proprietor of Beer City
located in Quakertown, Pa., has signed on as the
awards sponsor for the BASH. Jones owns the No. 15
NASCAR Whelen All-American Series 358-Modified
driven by Jason Hamilton at Grandview (Pa.)
Speedway.
Lee Myles Transmissions Pennsylvania
locations in Reading, Birdsboro, Allentown, Easton,
Mt. Pocono & York will provide the sound for the
BASH.
Tickets to the BASH are $10 and will
be sold during the show and at the door.
Registration for the show is ongoing. Space is
reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Race

Among the 2010 show exhibitors are
Grandview Speedway, Big Diamond (Pa.) Raceway,
Kutztown Fairgrounds (Pa.) Speedway, Thunder on the
Hill Racing Series, URC, Speedway Entertainment
(Slingshots and SpeedSTRs), Reading Fairgrounds
Speedway Historical Society, Doug Borger's XCel 600
Modifieds, Clyde Martin Memorial (Pa.) Speedway, the
NEETS Enduro Series and the Montgomery County
Quarter Midget Racing Club.
Vendors will be on hand selling
national and local racing memorabilia, collectibles,
racing DVDs and much more.
Once again, the 25th annual Racing Legends Reunion &
Car Show presented by Reading Eagle and WEEU 830 AM
will produce its own commemorative program book and
